If you think we copied your work

We draw our own parts. If you own a design and you believe something on this site copies it, tell us. The law calls that a takedown notice. Send it to our copyright agent, listed below, and say what the work is and where you saw it on our site.

This page covers copyright only. Trademarks and patents work a different way. There is a section on those at the bottom.

Where to send a copyright notice

Notices go to our designated agent. This is the agent on file with the U.S. Copyright Office. One agent covers all of our brands, so the email below is not a gulpdust.com address. That is on purpose.

Our designation is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office under registration number DMCA-1077745. You can look it up in the public directory of designated agents.

What your notice has to include

The law sets the list, in 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3). A notice that skips an item may not be acted on. Put all six in:

1. Your signature, on paper or typed in an email.
2. What the copyrighted work is. A list is fine if there are several.
3. What on our site you say infringes it, and enough detail for us to find it. A page link, a file name, or an order number.
4. How to reach you. An address, a phone number, and an email.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that this use is not allowed by the owner, an agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are allowed to act for the owner.

One warning, and it is in the statute at 17 U.S.C. 512(f). A person who knowingly makes a false claim in a takedown notice can be held liable for the damage it causes. Send a notice only when you truly believe the use is infringing.

If something of yours came down by mistake

You can send a counter notice under 17 U.S.C. 512(g)(3) to the same agent. It needs your signature, what came down and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it came down by mistake, and your name, address, and phone number. You also have to agree to the federal court where you live, or, if you live outside the United States, any federal court where we can be found, and agree to accept legal papers from the person who filed the notice.

We pass a valid counter notice back to the person who filed the first one. The law then gives them 10 to 14 business days to go to court before the material may go back up.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of repeat infringers when the situation calls for it. We treat two or more good faith notices in a 12 month period as the mark of a repeat infringer, and we look at the whole picture, not only the count.

Trademarks and patents are not DMCA

The DMCA covers copyright and nothing else. For a trademark, a design patent, or another right, write to dmca@3dprintsfast.com instead. Tell us which right it is and its number, what you say is infringing and where it sits on our site, why the use is not allowed, and how to reach you. Those claims do not run through the steps above, because the DMCA does not cover them.

Tool brand names appear on this site to say what a part fits. We are not affiliated with any tool maker. Our terms of service section 6 says the same thing.
