Is a dust port adapter the same thing?
Yes. Dust port adapter, dust collection adapter, and tool to shop vac adapter all name the same part. People use different words for it, but the job is the same: bridge the gap between a tool port and a hose that do not match.
How do I know which adapter fits my tool?

Why are the adapters printed in PETG instead of PLA?
PETG handles heat and impact better than PLA. A hot shop, a sunny truck bed, or a dropped hose can crack a PLA part. PETG is tougher than PLA, so the part holds its shape better in a warm shop.
Do the adapters need clamps or tape?
Usually not. We print each adapter to the two sizes you give us, so it slides on snug and grips in most setups, and you can pop it off when you change tools. Add a wrap of tape at any joint that sees heavy use.
