The SKILSAW SPT99 is a 10 in. worm drive table saw. A table saw throws more chips than any other tool in the shop. Rip a few boards and the floor behind the saw turns white. Sealing the rear port is the best dust win you can get.
The saw has a dust port at the rear. A shop vac hose rarely seals there by itself. Loose means it leaks right where the saw makes the most dust. We print a GulpDust PETG adapter to your port measurement on one end and to your hose on the other end, so the connection holds and the chips go into the vac.

SKILSAW SPT99 Dust Port: What Connects To It
We print the PETG adapter to the size you measure at the SPT99 rear dust port, and it holds by friction.
Here is the trap. A standard 2-1/2 in. shop vac hose looks about right next to this port, so people push the hose on, feel it wiggle, and reach for the duct tape. The hose cuff and the port were never made to seal on each other.
The adapter grips the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other end, so it holds snug and the suction stays at the blade.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the SKILSAW SPT99
Unplug the saw first. Then wipe the sawdust off the rear port, so the adapter seats clean and grips all the way around.
Press the saw end of the PETG adapter onto the port. We print it to the size you measure, so a firm push is all it takes. Press your shop vac hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before the blade touches wood. A table saw fires chips down through the blade slot the moment the cut starts, so the vac needs to be pulling from the first inch.
Why Worm Drive Table Saw Dust Collection Matters
A worm drive saw has the torque to rip long, so it makes chips by the foot. One sheet of plywood can fill a vac drum. Pulling the dust at the port keeps it off the floor and out of the air.
The fine dust is the real problem. It floats, you breathe it, and it settles on every flat surface in the shop. Trapping it at the port keeps the air and your shop cleaner.
If you cut a lot, add a cyclone separator between the saw and the vac. The heavy chips drop into a bucket, so your vac filter stays clear and the suction stays strong.
