WEN CT1525 Circular Saw Dust Port Size and Vacuum Adapter Guide
The WEN CT1525 is a 15 amp, 7-1/4 in. circular saw. It cuts fast, and fast cuts make a cloud of sawdust. Hooking a vac to the saw pulls that dust away at the blade, so your line stays clear and your lungs stay clean.
WEN does something most brands skip: it prints the port size right in the manual. The port sits on the upper blade guard. It is 35.56 mm inside and 40.64 mm outside. A GulpDust PETG adapter matches that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other, so the hose seals instead of falling off.

WEN CT1525 Dust Port Size: 35.56 mm Inside, 40.64 mm Outside
The CT1525 comes with a dust port that installs on the upper blade guard. The WEN manual lists the size: 1.4 in. inside and 1.6 in. outside. In metric, that is 35.56 mm inside and 40.64 mm outside.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. Neither one seals on a 35.56 mm port by itself. That gap is why dust sprays past the hose instead of going into it.
A GulpDust adapter is printed to match the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other, so you get a snug fit with no tape and no clamps.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the WEN CT1525
First, install the dust port on the upper blade guard if it is not on yet. The manual shows the step. Then clear any packed dust out of the port, so the seal is tight.
Press the small end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so a firm push holds it. Press your shop vac hose onto the other end. Turn the vac on before the blade touches wood.
Why Hook a Vac to a Budget Circular Saw
A circular saw throws chips and fine dust in a wide arc. The fine stuff hangs in the air long after the cut, and that is the part that hurts your lungs.
You do not need a pro saw to fix that. The CT1525 has a real port with a published size, so a cheap printed adapter and the vac you already own give you cleaner air on day one.
WEN CT1525 Dust Collection FAQ
What size is the dust port on the WEN CT1525?+
The port is round. It is 35.56 mm (1.4 in.) on the inside and 40.64 mm (1.6 in.) on the outside. Those numbers come from the WEN owner's manual.
Where is the dust port on the WEN CT1525?+
It installs on the upper blade guard. The saw ships with the port as a part you attach, so check that it is mounted before you hook up a hose.
Does the WEN CT1525 work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose is wider than the saw port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the port on one end and your vac hose on the other, so the hose stays put while you cut.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it onto the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.
Can I print this adapter myself?+
Yes. You can buy the printed PETG part shipped from the US, or download the STL file and print it at home. We suggest PETG with 3 walls and 25 percent infill.
