The dust port on the CMEW231 sits on the side of the sander. We print the adapter to the size you measure there.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. Neither one fits a sander port on its own. That gap is why fine dust sprays out instead of going into the hose.
