Full port and fit detail for this tool

The Festool ETS 125 EQ is a 5 inch random orbital sander. The model number is 576014. It is light, smooth, and built to run with a dust extractor. Like all sanders, it makes very fine dust that hangs in the air.

The sander has a round dust port on the side. Festool builds its own hoses to fit it, but most other shop vacs do not. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits that port and steps it to the shop vac hose you already own.

Festool ETS 125 EQ Dust Port: What Fits It

The dust port on the ETS 125 EQ is round and sits on the side of the sander. Our adapter is made to fit it.

Festool builds its tools and hoses around one small size. Normal shop vacs do not. If you own a Festool extractor, its hose plugs right in. The trouble starts when you want to use a normal shop vac.

Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. Both are way too big for this port. A GulpDust adapter matches the sander port on one end and your bigger vac hose on the other end, so you get a clean fit.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Festool ETS 125 EQ Sander

Clear any dust out of the side port first. A clean port gives the best fit.

Press the tool end of the PETG adapter into the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end of the adapter.

Turn the vac on before you start sanding. Dust collection on a sander is not just about a clean bench. Fine sanding dust is the kind that hangs in the air and gets into your lungs.

Why Dust Collection Matters on a Random Orbital Sander

A random orbital sander makes very fine dust. That dust floats. It does not fall to the floor like saw chips do.

Pulling that dust at the port keeps more of it out of the air. It also keeps the pad clean, which helps your sandpaper last longer and cut better.

For the smoothest finish, run a steady vac while you sand. A variable speed extractor is nice, but any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job.

Festool 576014 Dust Collection FAQ

Will a GulpDust adapter fit the Festool ETS 125 EQ dust port?+

Yes. The port is round and sits on the side of the sander. Our adapter is printed to fit it, and the other end matches your shop vac hose.

Can I use a non-Festool shop vac with the ETS 125 EQ?+

Yes, with an adapter. Festool hoses are small, and most shop vac hoses are much larger. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the sander port on one end and your vac hose on the other.

Do I need clamps to attach the adapter?+

No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it into the port and it holds. The vac hose end works the same way.

Why does the ETS 125 EQ need dust collection so much?+

Sanders make very fine dust that floats in the air. That dust is the kind that is bad to breathe. Pulling it at the port keeps more of it out of the air and helps the sandpaper last longer.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.

Does the same adapter fit other Festool tools?+

Often yes. Festool builds around one round port across the line, like the RO 150 sander and the TS 55 track saw. The OF 1010 router uses an oval port, so it is different. Each tool page has the adapter made for that tool.
