Mafell MT55cc Track Saw Dust Port Size and Shop Vac Adapter
The Mafell MT 55 cc is a plunge cut track saw. It rides a guide rail to cut clean, straight lines on sheet goods and boards. A track saw throws a lot of fine dust right at the cut line, so a good dust hookup keeps your view clear and the air clean.
The MT 55 cc has a 35 mm round dust port at the rear. Our PETG adapter plugs into that port and steps it to any standard shop vac or dust extractor hose. No tape. No clamps.

Mafell MT55cc Dust Port Size: 35 mm Round Rear Port
The Mafell manual lists the hose connector inside diameter at 35 mm, and a seller of the saw confirms the same size. That 35 mm figure is the inside of the port, which is what our adapter plugs into. The port sits at the back of the saw.
The 35 mm size is the same class Mafell, Festool, and Makita use on their track saws, so a 27 mm hose is too small and a 2-1/2 inch shop vac hose is far too big. That size gap is why dust leaks when you tape a big hose to a small port.
A GulpDust adapter fits the 35 mm port on one end and your bigger vac hose on the other end, so you get a tight seal and full suction at the cut.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Mafell MT55cc
Clear any dust out of the rear port first. A clean port gives the best grip.
Push the small end of the PETG adapter into the 35 mm port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm press. Then press your shop vac or dust extractor hose onto the wide end.
Turn the vac on before you plunge. Running the vac while you cut catches the dust at the source and keeps the rail and your line clear.
Why Track Saws Need Good Dust Collection
A track saw cuts a fine kerf and sprays dust straight up out of the guard. Without a hose, that dust lands on the rail and the workpiece and hangs in the air.
Pulling the dust at the port keeps the cut line visible so your rail stays put and your cut stays true. It also keeps fine dust out of your lungs.
For the cleanest cut, match the adapter to the 35 mm port and run a steady vac. Any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job.
Mafell MT55cc Dust Collection FAQ
What size is the dust port on the Mafell MT55cc?+
The manual lists it at 35 mm inside, and a seller confirms the same size. It is a round port at the rear of the saw. Our adapter plugs into that 35 mm inlet.
Does the Mafell MT55cc work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with an adapter. Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch, which is much bigger than the 35 mm port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other.
Will a Festool or Makita 35 mm hose fit the MT55cc?+
A 35 mm class hose is the same size range this saw uses, so it can work on some setups. If you want a sure, tight seal to a standard shop vac, our adapter is the surer path. Measure your port and hose first.
Do I need clamps to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You press it into the port and it holds. The vac hose end works the same way.
Can I print this adapter myself?+
Yes. You can buy the printed PETG part shipped from the US, or download the STL file and print it at home. We suggest PETG with 3 walls and 25 percent infill.
