Metabo HPT 18V Cordless Jig Saw
Specifications
Full port and fit detail for this tool
The Metabo HPT CJ18DAQ4 is an 18V cordless jig saw. It runs on the Metabo HPT 18V battery and cuts curves and shapes in wood and metal. When you cut, fine dust lands on your line and hides the blade.
This saw does not have a plain round dust port. It uses a proprietary attachment, and the matching OEM part is the Dust Collection Attachment 115451M. A generic round adapter will not just push on. Our PETG adapter is built to fit that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. No tape. No clamps.

Metabo HPT CJ18DAQ4 Dust Port: What Fits It
The CJ18DAQ4 does not use a clean round port. It pairs with a proprietary dust attachment shaped for this saw. The matching OEM part is the Dust Collection Attachment 115451M.
Because there is no round stub, a plain round adapter will not push on and fit. Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch, and neither one grabs a proprietary port on its own. That gap is why dust blows past a taped hose and onto your cut line.
Our adapter is made for that port. It grips the tool end and steps to the vac hose you own.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Metabo HPT CJ18DAQ4
First, fit the dust attachment to the saw. Without it there is nothing for the hose to grab.
Press the tool end of the PETG adapter onto the attachment. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before you cut. A clear line is easier to follow, so your curves come out clean and you breathe less dust.
Why Jig Saws Need Good Dust Collection
A jig saw blade moves fast and drops sawdust right on top of your cut line. On a curve, that dust hides the line you need to see.
Pulling the dust at the port keeps the line clear so your curves come out clean and true. It also keeps more fine wood dust out of the air you breathe.
Any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job. The fit at the port is what matters most.
