Full port and fit detail for this tool

The Porter-Cable PCC761B is the Porter-Cable 20V MAX 5 in. Random Orbit Sander. The dust port is round and sits on the side.

A sander makes fine dust that hangs in the air and gets into your lungs. Pulling it right at the port keeps more of it out of the air. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits this port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. It is a friction fit. No tape. No clamps.

Porter-Cable PCC761B Dust Port: What Fits It

The dust port on the PCC761B is round and sits on the side of the tool. Our PETG adapter is built to fit it.

Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 in. or 2-1/2 in. Neither one presses onto a sander port on its own. That gap is why fine dust sprays out instead of going into the hose.

The adapter closes the gap. It grips the sander port on one end and your vac hose on the other end.

Why Sanding Dust Needs a Vac, Not a Bag

A sander grinds wood into powder. That powder is light enough to float for hours after you stop.

The stock dust bag catches the coarse stuff and lets the fine stuff through. A vac pulls it at the port, before it ever reaches the room.

Run the vac on a low setting if the pad drags. You still get the pull without fighting the sander across the board.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Porter-Cable PCC761B

First, clear any dust out of the port. A clean port gives the best fit.

Press the tool end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end of the adapter. Turn the vac on before you start to sand.

Porter-Cable PCC761B Dust Collection FAQ

What fits the dust port on the Porter-Cable PCC761B?+

Our PETG adapter does. One end presses onto the sander port. The other end takes your shop vac hose.

Does the Porter-Cable PCC761B work with a regular shop vac?+

Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose is wider than the Porter-Cable dust port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the tool port on one end and your vac hose on the other.

Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+

No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it onto the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
