Ridgid R8652 Circular Saw Dust Port Size and Vacuum Adapter Guide
The Ridgid R8652 is the Ridgid 18V Brushless 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw. The dust port is round and sits on the side. We have not measured the exact size on this saw yet, so measure your own port with calipers before you buy.
A circular saw throws chips and fine dust hard. Catching it at the port keeps your cut line visible and the bench clear. A GulpDust PETG adapter is sized to the port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. It is a friction fit. No tape. No clamps.

Ridgid R8652 Dust Port: Round, Side Mount, Measure to Confirm
The dust port on the R8652 is round and sits on the side of the saw. We have not measured the exact size on this model yet, so we do not list a number we cannot back up.
Saw ports vary even within one brand. A guess that is off by a few millimeters means a loose fit and dust that blows past. So the safe move is to measure your own port first.
A GulpDust adapter is printed to match your saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other end. Once you have your number, you order the size that seals tight.
How to Measure Your Ridgid R8652 Dust Port
Close caliper jaws around the OUTSIDE of the port stub. That gives you the outer diameter in millimeters. Round to the nearest standard size if your number falls between two.
Next, slide the inside jaws into the port and open them out until they touch the inner wall. That gives you the inner diameter. The inner is what the adapter slides into. The outer tells you how snug the fit will be.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Ridgid R8652
First, clear any dust out of the port. A clean port gives the best seal.
Press the small end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end of the adapter. Turn the vac on before you start the cut.
Ridgid R8652 Dust Collection FAQ
What size is the dust port on the Ridgid R8652?+
The port is round and sits on the side. We have not measured the exact size on this saw, so we will not state a number we cannot back up. Measure your own port with calipers before you buy an adapter.
Does the Ridgid R8652 work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose is wider than the Ridgid dust port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the tool port on one end and your vac hose on the other.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it onto the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.
Can I print this adapter myself?+
Yes. You can buy the printed PETG part shipped from the US, or download the STL file and print it at home. We suggest PETG with 3 walls and 25 percent infill.
