The Craftsman CMXETAX is a 10 in. table saw. A table saw throws more chips than any other tool in the shop. Rip a few boards and the floor behind the saw turns white. Sealing the rear port is the best dust win you can get.
The saw has a dust port at the rear. A shop vac hose rarely seals on this port by itself. Loose means it leaks right where the saw makes the most dust. We print a GulpDust PETG adapter to your port measurement on one end and to your hose on the other end, so the connection holds and the chips go into the vac.

Craftsman CMXETAX Dust Port: What Connects To It
We print the adapter to the size you measure there.
Here is the trap. People push a standard 2-1/2 in. shop vac hose at the port, feel it wiggle, and reach for the duct tape. The hose cuff and the port were never made to seal on each other.
A GulpDust adapter grips this port on one end and your vac hose on the other end, so it holds snug and the suction stays at the blade instead of leaking out the joint.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Craftsman CMXETAX
Unplug the saw first. Then wipe the sawdust off the rear port, so the adapter seats clean and grips all the way around.
Press the saw end of the PETG adapter onto the port. We print it to the size you measure, so a firm push is all it takes. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before the blade touches wood. A table saw fires chips down through the blade slot the moment the cut starts, so the vac needs to be pulling from the first inch.
Why Table Saw Dust Collection Matters More Than Any Other Tool
A table saw runs longer cuts than a miter saw or a sander. Every foot of a rip cut makes chips, so one sheet of plywood can fill a vac drum.
The fine dust is the real problem. It floats, you breathe it, and it settles on every flat surface in the shop. Pulling it at the port traps it before it gets airborne, so your lungs and your shop both stay cleaner.
If you cut a lot, add a cyclone separator between the saw and the vac. The heavy chips drop into a bucket, so your vac filter stays clear and the suction stays strong.
