Ryobi RTS23 Table Saw Dust Port Size and Shop Vac Adapter Guide
The Ryobi RTS23 is a 10 in. portable table saw. A table saw throws more chips than any other tool in the shop. Rip a few boards and the floor behind the saw turns white. Sealing the rear port is the single biggest dust win you can get.
The saw has a round dust port at the rear. Jobsite table saws share the 2-1/4 in. port, which is 57.15 mm inside and 63.5 mm outside. A 2-1/2 in. shop vac hose looks close, but it sits loose on this port. Loose means it leaks right where the saw makes the most dust. A GulpDust PETG adapter is printed to this exact port on one end and your hose on the other end, so the joint seals and the chips go into the vac. No tape. No clamps.

Ryobi RTS23 Dust Port Size: 2-1/4 in. Round, 57.15 mm Inside
The rear dust port on the RTS23 is round. Jobsite table saws share the 2-1/4 in. port, so the inside measures 57.15 mm and the outside measures 63.5 mm. That is the same port group used across the class.
Here is the trap. A standard 2-1/2 in. shop vac hose is named for a size close to the outside of this port. So people push the hose at the port, feel it wiggle, and reach for the duct tape. The hose cuff and the port were never made to seal on each other.
A GulpDust adapter is printed to grip this exact port on one end and your vac hose on the other end, so the seal is tight and the suction stays at the blade instead of leaking out the joint.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Ryobi RTS23
Unplug the saw first. Then wipe the sawdust off the rear port, so the adapter seats clean and seals all the way around.
Press the saw end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so a firm push is all it takes. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before the blade touches wood. A table saw fires chips down through the blade slot the moment the cut starts, so the vac needs to be pulling from the first inch.
Why Table Saw Dust Collection Matters More Than Any Other Tool
A table saw runs longer cuts than a miter saw or a sander. Every foot of a rip cut makes chips, so one sheet of plywood can fill a vac drum.
The fine dust is the real problem. It floats, you breathe it, and it settles on every flat surface in the shop. Pulling it at the port traps it before it gets airborne, so your lungs and your shop both stay cleaner.
If you cut a lot, add a cyclone separator between the saw and the vac. The heavy chips drop into a bucket, so your vac filter stays clear and the suction stays strong.
Ryobi RTS23 Dust Collection FAQ
What size is the dust port on the Ryobi RTS23?+
The rear port is round and 2-1/4 in. That is 57.15 mm on the inside and 63.5 mm on the outside. Jobsite table saws share this port size.
Will a 2-1/2 in. shop vac hose fit the RTS23 port?+
Not by itself. The hose cuff sits loose on the port, so it leaks and falls off mid cut. The GulpDust PETG adapter grips the port on one end and your hose on the other, so the joint seals tight.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it on and it holds, so setup takes seconds and comes apart just as fast when you move the saw.
Does the same adapter fit other jobsite table saws?+
Often, yes. Jobsite table saws share the 2-1/4 in. rear port, so an adapter made for one usually fits the next. Ports can vary by model year, so measure your port before you buy.
Can I print this adapter myself?+
Yes. You can buy the printed PETG part shipped from the US, or download the STL file and print it at home. We suggest PETG with 3 walls and 25 percent infill, so the part stays stiff and shrugs off shop heat.
