DeWalt DWS782 12 in. Double Bevel Compound Miter Saw
Specifications
Full port and fit detail for this tool
The DeWalt DWS782 is the 12 inch double bevel compound miter saw. It bevels both directions without flipping the board, which is why it ends up on crown and casing work. It also throws a lot of fine dust with every cut.
The saw has a round dust port at the rear. Our PETG adapter fits that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. No tape. No clamps.

DeWalt DWS782 Dust Port: What Fits It
The port is at the back of the saw where the chip bag mounts, and it is round. Our adapter is made to fit it.
A shop vac hose on its own does not hold on this port. It sits crooked, leaks around the joint, and falls off when the head travels.
The adapter grips the saw on one end and your hose on the other end. Pick your hose size and we print that end for it.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the DWS782
Unplug the saw and pull the bag off the port. Knock the packed dust out of the opening so the adapter seats all the way around.
Push the saw end of the adapter on. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm press. Then push your vac hose onto the other end.
Run the vac before the blade touches the wood and keep it running through the cut.
Give the hose slack. This saw bevels both ways and the head moves through a wide arc, so a tight hose will pull the adapter off.
Why a Printed Adapter Beats the Kits
Search this saw and you will find one printed kit sold by a dozen different sellers, all claiming to fit seven DeWalt saws at once.
That kit is a chute that clamps over the outlet. A clamp can squeeze onto almost any shape, which is how one part gets listed for seven saws. It is not the same thing as a part sized to your port.
Ours is sized to the port. It presses in, holds by friction, and does not need a strap. It is also printed in PETG, not PLA, so it does not soften in a hot truck or a summer garage.
One of the saws on those seven-model lists has a port that is not round. Ours does not claim to fit it, and that is the point.
DWS782 and the Rest of the DeWalt 12 Inch Line
The DWS716, DWS779 and DWS780 all have their own pages. Same idea, one part per saw.
Check the model plate on the motor housing before you order. The model numbers on these saws differ by one digit and the pages are not interchangeable.
The DW718 is the exception in this line. Its dust port is not round, so a round adapter will not seal on it and we do not make a part for that saw.
DeWalt DWS782 Dust Collection FAQ
Will a GulpDust adapter fit the DeWalt DWS782 dust port?+
Yes. The port is round and sits at the rear of the saw. Our adapter is printed to fit it, and the other end matches your shop vac hose.
How is this different from the printed kits sold online?+
Those are chutes that clamp over the outlet, which is how one part gets listed for seven saws. Ours is sized to the port and holds by friction, and it is PETG instead of PLA.
Does the DWS782 use the same part as the DWS779?+
Each saw has its own page and its own part. Use the page that matches the model plate on your saw.
Does it fit the DW718?+
No. The DW718 dust port is not round, so a round adapter will not seal on it. We do not make a part for that saw.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it on and it holds.
Do you sell the design file?+
No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
