The Makita RP2303FC is a 1/2 inch plunge router. It cuts deep grooves, edges, and profiles in wood. A router throws a lot of chips and fine dust right where you work, so a good dust hookup keeps your view clear and the mess down.
The router has a dust port at the rear. We print our adapter to the size you measure there. Our PETG adapter plugs into that port and steps it to any standard shop vac or dust extractor hose.

Makita RP2303FC Dust Port: What Connects To It
The RP2303FC has a dust port at the back of the router. Our adapter is printed to plug into it.
A 2-1/2 inch shop vac hose is far too big, and a small 27 mm hose is too tight. That gap is why dust leaks when you tape a hose to a port it does not match.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Makita RP2303FC
Clear any chips out of the rear port first. A clean port gives the best grip.
Push the tool end of the PETG adapter into the port. We print it to the size you measure, so it holds with a firm press. Then press your shop vac or dust extractor hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before you plunge the bit. Running the vac while you rout catches the dust at the source and keeps your cut line clear.

A router spins fast and throws chips and fine dust in every direction. Without a hose, that mess piles up on your work and floats in the air.
Pulling the dust at the port keeps your cut line visible so you can follow the edge or the line with less guesswork. It also keeps more fine wood dust out of the air you breathe.
For the cleanest work, run a steady vac the whole time. Any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job.

Do I need clamps to attach the adapter?+
