The Ridgid R4518 is a 10 in. portable table saw. A table saw throws the heaviest chip stream of any tool in the shop. Rip one sheet of plywood without a hookup and you will spend more time sweeping than cutting.
The saw has a dust port at the rear. A 2-1/2 in. shop vac hose feels close on it, but close is not sealed. It leaks right where the saw makes the most dust. We print a GulpDust PETG adapter to your port measurement on one end and to your hose on the other end, so the connection holds and the chips go into the vac.

Ridgid R4518 Dust Port: What Connects To It
We print the PETG adapter to the size you measure at the R4518 rear dust port, and it holds by friction.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 in. or 2-1/2 in. Neither one seals on this port. The 2-1/2 in. cuff slips over it and wiggles, so dust blows out the gap on every rip cut.
A GulpDust adapter grips the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other end, so the suction stays at the blade instead of leaking out the joint.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Ridgid R4518
Unplug the saw first. Then wipe the sawdust off the rear port, so the adapter seats clean and grips all the way around.
Press the saw end of the PETG adapter onto the port. We print it to the size you measure, so a firm push is all it takes. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before the blade touches wood. A table saw fires chips down through the blade slot from the first inch of the cut, so the vac needs to be pulling the whole time.
Dust Collection for a Portable Table Saw
A portable saw moves between the garage, the driveway, and the job site. Every one of those spots is a bad place to spray sawdust, so the hookup has to travel with the saw.
The PETG adapter is small and tough, so it rides in your kit without cracking. Push it on when you set up the stand and you are cutting clean in seconds.

Will a regular shop vac hose fit the R4518 port?+
