The Ridgid R4518 is a 10 in. portable table saw. A table saw throws the heaviest chip stream of any tool in the shop. Rip one sheet of plywood without a hookup and you will spend more time sweeping than cutting.
The saw has a round dust port at the rear. A 2-1/2 in. shop vac hose feels close on it, but close is not sealed. It leaks right where the saw makes the most dust. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits this port on one end and your hose on the other end, so the connection holds and the chips go into the vac. No tape. No clamps.

Ridgid R4518 Dust Port: What Fits It
The rear dust port on the R4518 is round. Our PETG adapter is built to fit it, and it holds by friction.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 in. or 2-1/2 in. Neither one seals on this port. The 2-1/2 in. cuff slips over it and wiggles, so dust blows out the gap on every rip cut.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Ridgid R4518
Unplug the saw first. Then wipe the sawdust off the rear port, so the adapter seats clean and grips all the way around.
Press the saw end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so a firm push is all it takes. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before the blade touches wood. A table saw fires chips down through the blade slot from the first inch of the cut, so the vac needs to be pulling the whole time.
