The dust port adapter on the CT1065 mounts at the back of the saw. The WEN manual lists the size: 35 mm inside and 39.5 mm outside. No guessing and no forum digging.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. Neither one seals on a 35 mm port by itself. That gap is why dust trails behind the saw instead of going into the hose.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the WEN CT1065
First, clear any packed dust out of the port, so the seal is tight.
Press the small end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so a firm push holds it. Press your shop vac hose onto the other end. Turn the vac on before you plunge, so the first chips go into the hose and not onto your track.
