Full port and fit detail for this tool

The DeWalt DCW210B is the 20V MAX 5 inch random orbit sander. It runs on the DeWalt 20V battery and smooths wood fast. Sanding makes a cloud of very fine dust that hangs in the air.

The sander has a dust port on the side, and it is a proprietary collar, not a clean round port. Our PETG adapter is made to fit it. One end grips the collar. The other end takes your shop vac hose. No tape. No clamps.

DeWalt DCW210B Dust Port: What Fits It

The dust port on the DCW210B is a proprietary collar on the side of the sander, not a clean round port. Our adapter is made to fit it.

The small dust bag that comes with the sander fills up fast and lets fine dust slip past. Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch, so they do not fit this collar on their own.

A GulpDust adapter is printed to match the sander collar on one end and your vac hose on the other end. Pick your hose and we make the part to match.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the DeWalt DCW210B Sander

Pull the dust bag off and clear any dust out of the side port first. A clean port gives the best fit.

Press the tool end of the PETG adapter onto the collar. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end of the adapter.

Turn the vac on before you start sanding. Dust collection on a sander is not just about a clean bench. Fine sanding dust is the kind that hangs in the air and gets into your lungs.

Why Dust Collection Matters on a Random Orbital Sander

A random orbital sander makes very fine dust. That dust floats. It does not fall to the floor like saw chips do.

Pulling that dust at the port keeps more of it out of the air. It also keeps the pad clean, which helps your sandpaper last longer and cut better.

For the smoothest finish, run a steady vac while you sand. Any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job.

DeWalt DCW210B Dust Collection FAQ

Will a GulpDust adapter fit the DeWalt DCW210B dust port?+

Yes. The sander has a proprietary collar on the side and our adapter is printed to fit it. The other end matches your shop vac hose.

Does the DeWalt DCW210B work with a regular shop vac?+

Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose is too big for this small proprietary collar. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the sander port on one end and your vac hose on the other.

Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+

No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it into the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.

Why does the DCW210B need dust collection so much?+

Sanders make very fine dust that floats in the air. That dust is the kind that is bad to breathe. Pulling it at the port keeps more of it out of the air and helps the sandpaper last longer.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.

Does the same adapter fit other DeWalt 20V MAX tools?+

Not always. DeWalt 20V MAX tools use different ports. This sander uses a proprietary collar, while the DCW600B router has a round port. Each tool page has the adapter made for that tool.
