It uses the maker's own dust attachment. The matching OEM part is the Vacuum Adaptor 581281-00.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch, and neither one grabs this port on its own. That gap is why dust blows past a taped hose and onto your cut line.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the DeWalt DW331K
First, fit the OEM Vacuum Adaptor 581281-00 to the saw. That is the dust attachment DeWalt made for this shape.
If we can make an adapter for this tool, press the tool end onto the attachment. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before you cut. A clear line is easier to follow, so your curves come out clean and you breathe less dust.
