WEN HB6319 6.3-Amp 3 x 18 in. Belt Sander

Model: HB6319Category: Belt Sander

Specifications

Full port and fit detail for this tool

The WEN HB6319 is a 6.3 amp, 3 x 18 in. belt sander. It is a compact, low-cost sander, but it makes dust like a big one. The included cloth bag catches chips and lets the fine dust blow through. Hooking a shop vac to the port grabs the dust at the source, so it goes into the vac instead of into your air.

The onboard port is round and takes either the bag or a hose. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other, so the hose holds instead of falling off.

WEN HB6319 Dust Port: What Fits It

The onboard dust port on the HB6319 takes the included dust bag or a hose. Our PETG adapter is built to fit it.

Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 in. or 2-1/2 in. Neither one seals on a sander port by itself. That gap is why fine dust leaks out around the hose instead of going into it.

The adapter grips the sander port on one end and your vac hose on the other, so you get a snug fit with no tape and no clamps.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the WEN HB6319

First, pull the dust bag off and clear any packed dust out of the port, so it fits snug.

Press the tool end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so a firm push holds it. Press your shop vac hose onto the other end. Turn the vac on before the belt touches wood.

Why a Small Belt Sander Still Needs a Vac

A 3 x 18 belt strips wood almost as fast as a bigger belt, so it makes almost as much dust. The fine part of that dust hangs in the air for hours and gets into your lungs.

A shop vac on the port pulls that fine dust away before it spreads. On a budget sander like the HB6319, a small printed adapter is the whole upgrade. Cheap tool, clean air.

WEN HB6319 Dust Collection FAQ

What fits the dust port on the WEN HB6319?+

Our PETG adapter does. One end presses onto the sander port. The other end takes your shop vac hose.

Does the WEN HB6319 work with a regular shop vac?+

Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose is wider than the sander port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the port on one end and your vac hose on the other.

Does the same adapter fit the WEN HB321V?+

Yes. The HB321V and the cordless 20418 use the same port, so one adapter covers all three sanders.

Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+

No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it onto the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
