WEN HB6319 Belt Sander Dust Port Size and Vacuum Adapter Guide
The WEN HB6319 is a 6.3 amp, 3 x 18 in. belt sander. It is a compact, low-cost sander, but it makes dust like a big one. The included cloth bag catches chips and lets the fine dust blow through. Hooking a shop vac to the port grabs the dust at the source, so it goes into the vac instead of into your air.
WEN lists the port size right on the product page, which most brands never do. The onboard port is 31.75 mm (1-1/4 in.) inside and 36.51 mm (1-7/16 in.) outside. A GulpDust PETG adapter matches that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other, so the hose seals instead of falling off.

WEN HB6319 Dust Port Size: 31.75 mm Inside, 36.51 mm Outside
The onboard dust port on the HB6319 takes the included dust bag or a hose. WEN states the size on the product page: 1-1/4 in. (31.75 mm) inside and 1-7/16 in. (36.51 mm) outside.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. Neither one seals on a 31.75 mm port by itself. That gap is why fine dust leaks out around the hose instead of going into it.
A GulpDust adapter is printed to match the sander port on one end and your vac hose on the other, so you get a snug fit with no tape and no clamps.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the WEN HB6319
First, pull the dust bag off and clear any packed dust out of the port, so the seal is tight.
Press the small end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so a firm push holds it. Press your shop vac hose onto the other end. Turn the vac on before the belt touches wood.
Why a Small Belt Sander Still Needs a Vac
A 3 x 18 belt strips wood almost as fast as a bigger belt, so it makes almost as much dust. The fine part of that dust hangs in the air for hours and gets into your lungs.
A shop vac on the port pulls that fine dust away before it spreads. On a budget sander like the HB6319, a small printed adapter is the whole upgrade. Cheap tool, clean air.
WEN HB6319 Dust Collection FAQ
What size is the dust port on the WEN HB6319?+
The port is round. It is 31.75 mm (1-1/4 in.) on the inside and 36.51 mm (1-7/16 in.) on the outside. Those numbers come from the WEN product page.
Does the WEN HB6319 work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose is wider than the sander port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the port on one end and your vac hose on the other, so the hose stays put while you sand.
Is the WEN HB6319 port the same as the WEN HB321V?+
Yes. Both use the same 31.75 mm (1-1/4 in.) port with a 36.51 mm outer diameter. The cordless WEN 20418 matches too, so one adapter size covers all three sanders.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it onto the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.
Can I print this adapter myself?+
Yes. You can buy the printed PETG part shipped from the US, or download the STL file and print it at home. We suggest PETG with 3 walls and 25 percent infill.
