Specifications

Full port and fit detail for this tool

The Bosch JS470E is a top-handle corded jig saw. It cuts curves and shapes in wood and metal. When you cut, fine dust builds up on your line and hides the blade.

This saw does not have a plain round dust port. It uses a proprietary nozzle, so a generic round adapter will not just push on. The matching OEM part is the Nozzle 2605730055. A GulpDust PETG adapter connects at the nozzle on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. No tape. No clamps.

Bosch JS470E Dust Port: What Fits It

The JS470E does not use a clean round port. It uses a proprietary dust nozzle shaped for this saw. The matching OEM part is the Nozzle 2605730055.

Because there is no round stub, a plain round adapter will not push on and fit. Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch, and neither one grabs a proprietary nozzle on its own. That gap is why dust blows past a taped hose and onto your cut line.

Fit the OEM Nozzle 2605730055 to the saw, then let a GulpDust PETG adapter carry it the rest of the way to your vac hose.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Bosch JS470E

First, fit the OEM Nozzle 2605730055 to the saw. That is the dust attachment Bosch made for this shape.

Press the tool end of the PETG adapter onto the nozzle. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.

Turn the vac on before you cut. A clear line is easier to follow, so your curves come out clean and you breathe less dust.

Why a Jig Saw Needs a Hose Hookup

A jig saw blade throws dust straight onto the line you are trying to follow. You end up blowing on the cut every few seconds just to see where you are going.

A running vac clears the line as the blade moves. Your curves stay smooth because you can see the pencil mark the whole way.

It also keeps the fine dust out of the air in a small shop, where it hangs around long after the cut is done.

Bosch JS470E Dust Collection FAQ

Will a round shop vac adapter fit the Bosch JS470E?+

Not on its own. The port is a proprietary shape, so a plain round adapter will not push on and fit. Fit the OEM Nozzle 2605730055 first, then run a GulpDust adapter from there to your hose.

What is OEM part 2605730055?+

It is the Bosch dust nozzle for the JS470E, the proprietary attachment made for this saw. You can find it on the JS470E parts diagram. It is the starting point for a clean dust hookup.

Can GulpDust make an adapter for this saw?+

Yes. Use the GulpDust configurator custom path. We build a PETG adapter that meets the saw nozzle on one end and steps to your shop vac hose on the other end.

Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+

No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it on and it holds. The vac hose end works the same way.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
