Magnetic Quick-Disconnect Dust Port
A magnetic hose port we are still testing.
- Two halves, six magnet pockets in each.
- Bore is 51 mm (2 in). The spigot is 57 mm outside.
- Takes 10 mm by 3 mm disc magnets. Magnets are not included.
- Not tested yet.
About This Part
A hose spigot on one end and a flat magnetic face on the other. It comes as two halves. Each half has six pockets for 10 mm disc magnets. The magnets are meant to pull the two faces together.
The idea is to put one half on a tool port and the other on a hose, so you can swap the hose between tools with no threads to line up.
We have not tested the hold, the seal, or which way the magnets must face. Magnets are not included. It is not for sale yet.
Who it is for: Anyone who moves one hose between tools all day, once the hold is tested.

How are the two halves meant to connect?+
Each half holds six disc magnets. The idea is that the magnets pull the two faces together and you pull them apart by hand. We have not tested the hold.
Do the magnets come with it?+
No. Magnets are not included, and the part does not work without them.
How strong is the hold?+
We do not know yet. We have not run a pull test.
