About This Part
It sits over the chip chute on a Makita 5007 series circular saw. The saw throws sawdust into the hood, and the hood sends it down to your shop vac. That means less dust in the air and on your cut line.
You stick it on with strong double-sided tape over the chip chute. The tape is not included. A tape-on mount is forgiving, so you do not have to click it into a tight port.
This is a community design by beley45. We print it in PETG and we measured the hose stub ourselves. It reads 40 mm across the outside and 32 mm across the bore, so a 32 mm shop-vac hose fits it.

How does it attach to the Makita 5007?+
You stick it on with strong double-sided tape over the chip chute, where the saw throws its dust. The tape is not included. A tape-on mount is forgiving, so you do not have to line up a tight port.
What hose does it take?+
It takes a 32 mm shop-vac hose, the size on many Ridgid and other shop vacs. The stub bore is 32 mm, so a 32 mm hose fits snug. Tell us if your hose is a different size and we can adjust it.
Does it catch all the sawdust?+
No hood catches every bit. It sits over the chip chute where the saw throws most of its dust, so it grabs most of it with your vac running. It beats no collection by a lot.
