About This Part
A curved shroud with a hose stub, made for the chip chute of a Makita 5007 circular saw. The idea is that your shop vac hose goes on the stub, so sawdust goes to the vac and not into the air.
It is meant to stick on with strong double-sided tape over the chip chute. Tape is not included.
This is a community design by beley45. We measured the 3D model, not a printed part. The hose stub is 40 mm across the outside and 32 mm across the bore.
The model is made of three shells, and we have not yet printed it to check that it comes out as one solid part. We have not tried it on a saw. It is not for sale yet.
Who it is for: Makita 5007 owners who want to cut cleaner indoors or on a job site, once it is tested.

How is it meant to attach to the Makita 5007?+
It is meant to stick on with strong double-sided tape over the chip chute, where the saw throws its dust. Tape is not included. We have not tested it on a saw.

On the 3D model, the stub is 32 mm across the bore and 40 mm across the outside. We measured the model, not a printed part.
Does it catch all the sawdust?+
No hood catches every bit. We have not tested this one, so we cannot say how much it catches.
