Makita Dust Collection Adapters
Makita went with a 36mm port standard across the LXT and XGT platforms. This is unique, Makita is the only major US brand at 36mm. You need a different adapter than you would for Milwaukee or DeWalt. Makita's XCV04Z cordless vac also uses a 36mm hose, so if you own Makita tools, a Makita vac avoids adapters entirely on that side.

Makita LXT and XGT tools use a 36mm outer-diameter dust port, slightly larger than the Milwaukee and DeWalt standard.
Most Makita LXT/XGT tools: 36mm → 1-7/8" shop vac adapter.
